With the forthcoming introduction of the X 1 sub compact SUV in the United States, BMW has released a pack of 100 photos of the car face lifted, which will be available in several models with a long line of options and trim packages.
The official press release stated: "The talented sport activity vehicle of small car premium segment its US market debut with Rotax State-of-the-art technology, innovative features, targeted design modifications, and extensive interior refinements will make armed."
The first choice, one with the new X 1 is between the four-cylinder or 6-cylinder engine. The two-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivers torque 240 HP and 260 lb-ft and is available only with an eight-speed automatic, rear wheel drive (X 1 sDrive28i) and all-wheel-drive (xDrive28i) available.
The N55 inline six-cylinder engine delivers torque 300 HP and 300 lb-ft and is only available with a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
With regard to the packages, BMW offers two separate lines for the X 1, XLINE KLINIE and SportLine, as well as a M-sport package.
The housing has undergone only minor changes and includes a new front bumper, slightly redesigned headlights and mirrors.
The X 1 also offers a number of additional features including BMWS Servotronic steering, iDrive, Xenon headlights and LED tail lamps, a panoramic sunroof, one rear camera and BMW apps compatibility.
Available at authorized BMW centers, the BMW X 1 is for a starting price of $31.545 (about R306, 891 at the current exchange rate) sell.
