Mini John Cooper Works 2013 GP Hatchback: Mini has saved his fastest for final

We previously we ran a couple of speculative stories on the Mini John Cooper Works GP. It is with some relief that we are now able to provide official information and images of the worst-kept secrets Mini.

Mini United debut officially at the Festival at Le Castellet, France, the Mini John Cooper Works 2013 GP is basically the Mini John Cooper Works with most of the works. That includes a body kit looking for media with a front fascia air devouring, new side skirts, a rear diffuser and a carbon wing above the backlight. Four wheels — rays mirrors and red lipstick, for that matter — tend to look funny on cars less capricious than the Mini, but as innately playful with the predecessor of this car, the mischievous 2006 Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works GP Kit, this model looks pretty zippy. The jury of c/d is on black, silver and Red the GP's new body graphics decals come off easily, but how they are applied.

All we know is 8:23

Other performance improvements include removal of the seat back of tailgate, as well as the installation of a suite of race-worthy bit frame, including an adjustable suspension, upgraded brakes and high-performance tires. Detailed specs on these components, as well as those relating to the GP engine, which we expect to be a version of the turbocharged 1.6-liter four-banger fellow JCW found in larger, will be revealed this year closer to GP marketing. The GP should get the same 211 HORSEPOWER and 221 lb-ft of torque from the 1.6 litre how compatriot JCW, however. We must wait to learn how Mini plans to pay for the new super Cooper, as well as what slice of its 2000 production units run will be handed out to American customers. We have learned, however, that all 2000 vehicles has confirmed at this point will be sedans. If Mini goes ahead with any coupes JCW GP will be part of a separate production.

However shy with ProductDetails Mini is to be at this point, has provided a particularly revealing statistics: 8 minutes and 23 seconds, the door JCW GP 2013 laps the legendary Nurburgring Nordschleife considerable 19 seconds faster than its predecessor. Grinding that we are journalists, we prefer to verify that ourselves. Just tell us where to go.
